This Two-Finned Wasgo Pendant is hand-carved in argillite by Haida artist Gryn White.It features one inlay of abalone in the eye.
Wasco is a prominent mythological creature from Haida legend. It is a giant sea monster with the head and tail of Wolf and the dorsal fin and blowhole of Killer Whale. He has the ability to move both on land and in water, terrorizing Haida villages and hunting killer whales to feed his family.
The pendant measures approximately 2 1/2 inches or 6 1/4 centimeters high, 1 inch or 2 1/2 centimeters wide, and about 3/16 of an inch or 1/2 of a centimeter thick.
A chain is not included, but a silver chain can be purchased separately .
